In Squirrels Defence

It's an invasion alright
They declared war
On innocent lives
Blame them for the decline
Of endangered species
Our scapegoats
But the danger
Is human domination
Claiming the land as our own
We once came close
To hunting our wildlife
Into near oblivion
Brave squirrels took hold
Their feral adventures were bold 
This accidental release
Spreading the seeds
For natures replacement
Our saviours?

With the boldness they lack
Why assume reds would 
Come back?
What is the cost of no squirrels
Due to grand ideas
And chemical castration?
