Life is a dreamlike state
We're not quite awake yet
Life, keeps us living dreams
Nothing's what it seems to be

Questioning the mess we're in
Wondering if we can win
We won't fix these broken wings
If we can't shed our prideful skin

I’m feeling Ishtar's fire rise
Blind, to all the tricks of mind
I am the fire in the night
Blazing through the darkest light

I am being

Life's just a fleeting trace
Mirroring our minds embrace
Dancing under twilight gleam
We wake within a timeless dream

We drift upon the sea of time
Caught between the lines defined
Within this dream, we find our path
The waking world beyond the dark

The veil between what's real and fake
Is starker with a minds black slate
But even in this shadowed scheme
We’ll rise again, masters of dreams

Through the mist, we chart our course
Guided by an unseen force
And in the stillness of the night

With every step, a new dawn beams
Awakening from endless dreams

The Mind’s Eye: A Conversation with Dr. Adam Zeman

Dr. Adam Zeman is a pioneering figure in the study of aphantasia, the inability to produce mental imagery. In a recent discussion with him, I explored the evolving understanding of this fascinating condition, its terminology, and the spectrum of experiences associated with it.  Dr. Zeman defines aphantasia as the lack of mental imagery . Initially, this definition referred solely to visual imagery (or what might be termed visual aphantasia ). Over time, the term has broadened to encompass deficits across multiple sensory modalities, forming what is now referred to as multisensory aphantasia . This includes conditions such as auditory aphantasia (the inability to imagine sounds), tactile aphantasia (a lack of imagined touch), and emotional aphantasia (the absence or reduction of emotional imagery). #VSS Yedacognizance at Play

I’ve always thought of myself as intuitive. From the moment I learned the word as a child, it felt like the perfect description of the things I sensed before I should know them. One of my earliest memories is a vivid example of this uncanny intuition—what I consider a type of very mild precognition.  It was my last year of Primary School, and the Christmas play was a big event. That year, our tiny village school—with barely 60 students—had splurged on the rights to play the music from  Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat .
